Life is up and down – we all know that. The ups are good and the lows are hard but also about growth. After having low energy for 18 months because of medication for my cancer – my body and my soul found a way back to energy.
Inner energy that is so important for creativity. Like Hansel and Gretel, life put some breadcrumbs on my road slowing pulling me back to play; and to play is such an important part of being human, being alive! I was commissioned to do photography for a book, one of my grandchildren asked for a painting and a gallery asked for my photos. Encouragement of your inner circle also plays such an important role; my brother, Ebben, always encourages me to paint – enjoying the idea that I am myself and feed my creativity. So his voice keeps throwing the crumbs leading me back to my creative self. Close friends are another important voice in my ear.
So I started to play, play with my camera and play with paint, not looking for a special result – just for expression and joy and being me again. It is important to go through the times of growth so that you can become more of who you are and how you express yourself in every day life.
Today, I am thankful for the up and the joy of being expressive that gives me fulfilment and makes life complete for this moment in time!
