Due to the delicate nature of the art piece and the complexity of delivery, this competition is only open to those residing in Cape Town, over the age of 18.

Always living creatively, Hetsie developed her unique voice, loving and always noticing the play of light and shapes. She started to create photos that looked more like abstract art than just a photo. As with her Photography, Hetsie has also developed her own style Painting and loves to paint using only her fingers. This makes for a tactile and textured experience, for both her and the viewer. Hetsie has always used touch creatively and in healing others, she is a qualified Life Coach, Occupational Therapist and Pressure Point Practitioner, on top of being a South African Contemporary Artist & Fine Art Photographer.

        I love this peace …the red is vibrant and alive …it reminds me of joy. I love to dance and it reminds me of nights of dancing where I stood alone in my own happiness even as part of a crowd. It’s beautiful ❤

    The message of this piece somewhat reminds me of a human being. We look at the person, we see their physical beauty and judge them based on that. We often forget about what makes that very individual, we often tend to look past their foundation, their personality; which is what makes them all the more beautiful, in fact, it’s exactly what makes them who they are. What would a flower be without every little petal? Nothing, all those little factors, seen as the less significant, is what makes the flower so appealing.
