After a difficult year with a bad car accident and a long time of recovery, I finally was mobile enough to join a group of photographers on a outing to Avondale Open Garden Day.

Arriving there I was overwhelmed with the abundance of this extraordinary and beautiful garden; so much so, that I didn’t know where to start taking photos having only a limited time before the group met up for scones and tea. Also, it was so great to see all my fellow photographers and I spent some of the time catching up with them.

A friend gave me a lift to the venue, so we went home when the group left. Back home, I realised that I have to go back. There was more that I needed to capture. After a quick lunch, there I was, back in this beautiful garden; approaching it in a more organised manner, so as not to miss out on anything. I started taking photos, taking my time and being relaxed enough to listen to my inner voice of how and what I want to capture.

I went home afterwards fulfilled and happy knowing that I am blessed to have been there, and also was able to take photos of what my eyes see.

I hope you enjoy these photographs as much as I did creating them.
